For a Europe with regions and cities: the view of young people

Committee of the Regions 20th anniversary
As part of its 20th anniversary celebrations, the Committee of the Regions (CoR) is inviting some 150 young people to discuss the future of a multi-level Europe and of the CoR itself. Want to join the debate? You can apply by 7 March 2014.

Who can participate

As a general rule, participants should not be older than 30 years and should belong to one of the categories below:

  • members of youth organisations or young members of European political parties selected by the CoR's political groups;
  • holders of a Master or a PHD in European affairs;
  • interns from the EU institutions, regional representation offices in Brussels and major Brussels-based think-tanks.

Practical info

The conference will take place on 1 April and selected participants will be informed by mid-March; please note that the CoR cannot reimburse travel and/or accommodation costs.

What happens next

The young people participating in the conference will be asked to present the results of their discussions and exchange views with CoR members at the 20th anniversary ceremony, which will take place during the CoR Plenary on 2 April.

The Plenary and the closing session will be webstreamed live; we will keep you updated about the event webcast.
