The European Parliament and the Council recently agreed to making 2022 the European Year of Youth! The idea was initiated by the European Commission President von der Leyen in her 2021 State of the Union address when she said that this year should be dedicated to those who have dedicated so much to others: the youth!

To give young people a voice, throughout 2022, a range of activities will take place organised in cooperation between young people and youth organisations, the EU, the Member States and regional and local authorities. In addition, a range of new services for young people will be launched, to make their participation in public life more accessible and to encourage them to get out there into the world and make the best of what the EU has to offer to them. This is where the newly developed Erasmus+ App comes in!

Mobility is a key opportunity for young people in Europe fostering multilingualism, skills development, improving access to the job market and socio-economic integration. The Erasmus+ App is here to make all of this much more accessible. The Erasmus+ App is set to be the single entry point for Erasmus+ mobilities and the App supports learners through their mobility journey so it’s intended for those who are considering going on an international exchange as well as those who are already abroad and looking for assistance.

Through the Erasmus+ App, students will be able to apply to mobilities by browsing and selecting their favourite destinations based on the university’s institutional partners and, if selected, they will be able to sign their Online Learning Agreement through the app as well. The app is giving the opportunity to its users to read tips and stories about their upcoming destinations written by previous exchange students and youth living in host countries and also to check information about traineeships and offers, to track their skills before and after the mobility, to strengthen their language skills and more.

If you want to be part of this evolution of European student mobility, download the App from your store or visit the web app to register to login and begin your journey!
