Meme for EU? Take part in the GIF Me Your Best competition
What does it take to get people to vote in the European Elections? Could a GIF without any sound and shorter than 10 seconds be enough?
Robert Eysoldt, a creative consultant from Germany, thinks it could! That's why he has started the GIF Me Your Best competition.
Graphic designers, animators, typographers, illustrators, photographers, artists and beyond are invited to take part. They must be living in one of the EU Member States and be at least 18 years old.
The GIF itself can use graphics, drawings, photos and fonts. It should not contain any brand logos or any reference to the author or owner of the rights. The same goes for special messages from particular political parties, groups or candidates.
You can upload up to three GIFs on this website until 24 May 2019. Three winners will be selected by a jury made up of European designers and communication experts and invited to Strasbourg for one day in July to attend the first session of the newly elected European Parliament.
