Training for employment

Vocational Training Programs offers skills and knowledge to foster employment.

It means free Training Courses the most of the times, and the duration and contents are really varied.

Important:

  • Sometimes this training can be developed online. You´d need a computer and Internet connection by your own.
  • It´s not a request to be unemployed for accessing to these training offers.

These are the request to access them:

  • be registered as resident in Spain
  • be registered as jobseeker in a Spanish “job center” check here the nearest to your address.

You could also ask for Information in the Job Centres Office check here the nearest to your address.

Contact directly with the Training Center in charge of the course to ask for more information.

In many cases, the Job Centre will contact with you when you are elected.

 

Professional Accreditation Cards:

The Professional Cards are documents that certify a theoretical and practical knowledge in specific tasks related to an occupation.

For getting them, you must pass an exam. In some occupations is compulsory, for example, in catering industry you need a Foodstuff Handler Certificate.

 

Certificate of Professional Standards.

There are some courses that permit you Access to a professional certification

We are talking about a Diploma that officially recognizes your professional skills and competences for the Development of a specific laboral activity.

The certificates of professional standards are certified credentials at the national level, and can be homologated to the European level.

 

Europass Supplement to the Certificates of Professional Standards.

Europass helps people make their skills and qualifications clearly and easily understood in Europe, thus facilitating the mobility of both learners and workers.

The Europass documents have been designed in such a way as to help people chronicle their skills and competences in a coherent manner, whether they are planning to enroll in an education or training programme, looking for a job, or getting experience abroad.

Europass consists of a portfolio of five documents as follows:

Two documents which individuals can complete independently

Three documents which are completed by the competent organization on behalf of the individual -

Europass Supplement is not a substitute of an Official Diploma, but a complementary and informative document in English and other languages, too.

In Spain, the National Europass Centre coordinates all activities related to the Europass documents. It is the first point of contact for any person or organization interested in using or learning more about Europass.  Link: Servicio Español para la Internacionalización de la Educación
