As you know Spain is a country very rich in History. During centuries many civilizations (Iberians, Romans, Muslims, Christians, Celts, Vikings, Carthaginians…) have bequeath their heritage in our territory. If you travel around Spain you will find a lot of monuments to prove it (cathedrals, Alhambra, aqueducts and ancient Roman cities…) but you can also meet historical events that transport you to another past age. You can know in that recreations, in an amazing way, how they lived in that times, what they ate, how they dressed, what kind of music they listened to and, even, sports they played. You will not only a spectator in those fiestas. You will participate actively, for example, tasting delicious dishes and dancing in tune with ancestral melodies.
Hundreds of villages and cities organize very attractive historical fiestas for the visitant. Possibly one of the best known is the fiestas of Moros y Cristianos celebrated every year in almost whole Spain, mainly in Andalusia, Murcia and the Region of Valencia. There are other ones, perhaps not so famous, but also very amazing and attractive.
