Join the #VECovidChat Twitter chat on 22 June
During these challenging times, we would like to hear views from policy-makers, educators, young people, students, and Virtual Exchange experts, on the use of Virtual Exchange as a tool for online education, and to reflect on the impact of COVID19 on global online learning. Join us for our Twitter chat, share your opinion and experiences, and connect with people from the education and Virtual Exchange field from all over Europe and the Southern Mediterranean region.
How can I get involved?
Follow @EUErasmusPlus on Twitter and join us online on 22 June at 16.00 Central European Summer Time (CEST). We will send five tweets with questions on the topic and invite you to discuss live with others by using the hashtag #VECovidChat. No need to register in advance - you just need to have a Twitter account!
What will we discuss?
We will invite you to share your views on the impact of COVID-19 in global online learning and to share your experiences and opinions linked to Virtual Exchange. The 5 questions that will be shared are:
Q1. How is Virtual Exchange different from other learning or teaching experiences?
Q2. Does Virtual Exchange allow participants to build meaningful relationships? Did you experience this yourself?
Q3. What will international and cross-cultural education look like post-pandemic?
Q4. Will this pandemic lead to greater inclusivity in education? How can we provide equal opportunities for skills development?
Q5. How can we use online exchanges to promote tolerance and embrace diversity after COVID-19?
How does it work?
Questions are organised by number (i.e., Q1, Q2, Q3, and so on). To keep everyone on track, we will ask you to respond with the same format—A1, A2, A3—and include the hashtag #VECovidChat.
What is a Twitter chat?
A Twitter chat is a scheduled, organised conversation on Twitter focused on a specific topic and hashtag.
What if I don’t have twitter?
To join this chat, you’ll need a twitter account. Luckily, it is easy to sign up! Without an account, you will be able to watch the discussion unfold but will not be able to take part.
