Working in Estonia

Estonians are moving from rural area to urban area. Some of them are migrating to another country. It is difficult to say who is able to go abroad, or who will be welcome in Estonia. Different people have different values, and skills.




Who will come?

It is easier from citizens of other EU Member States, Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein and Switzerland to come into the country for professional reasons. It is not secret that Estonian culture and values are similar to United States, Canada, Australia, or New Zealand and Estonians are flying to discover Estonian relatives into English speaking world. Few of them are coming to Estonia to do business, or to teach English. For others, different conditions apply. People had applied from Russia, Belarus, or Ukraine. They will always come to have better life to live, or to organize trade from Russia to Europe. Over past ten years Polish people are coming to work in Estonia.


About Estonian salary?

Legal persons income tax rate is 21% since the year 2012. Salaries paid to employees are subject to social tax, unemployment insurance premiums and funded pension payment. Social tax rate stands at 33%. Estonian average income looks by numbers smaller, but they will not have taxation so much. In this case income may be higher. In addition education is free, and paid maternity leave is about 18 months. Citizens In Tallinn have free public transport as well. Estonia isn't overpopulating and Estonian food is fresh all the ways. Some of them are thinking that nutrition will be the most important reason to live in Estonia.
