Eurodyssée traineeships – start your European journey here!
Eurodyssée is aimed at young people aged 18 to 30 who are resident in one of the programme’s member regions. It does not require any specific qualifications, as applications are matched to the requirements of the businesses. However you should hold a study qualification of some sort (vocational training, higher education, etc.) and basic knowledge of a foreign language.
Trainees are entitled to a 3-7 months traineeship, a language course, accommodation, a monthly allowance or salary, insurance cover and a training certificate.
How to apply
Follow 3 simple steps:
1. Find out if your region is part of the programme from the list of member regions.
2. Create your Eurodyssée profile.
3. Check all available traineeship offers and choose the one that best suits you.
“This stage of my life will be forever remembered by the experience that the Eurodyssey Program provided me with. It has surely been a step ahead in terms of personal growth. I discovered new cultures, made new friends, learnt a new language. I had the opportunity to travel a lot and to know amazing people and places! Spain will always be a great memory for me and I will take Valencia back in my heart.
I seriously advise young people to enjoy this opportunity. Obviously, it isn’t always a bed of roses. You will find some obstacles to overcome… but aren’t those that make us grow and makes us stronger? This is a challenge not to miss.”
Andreia Tavares, from Portugal, did her traineeship in the Comunidad Valenciana, in Spain, in 2009.
During the traineeship
Trainees will either receive a grant or be paid a salary depending on how the Eurodyssée programme is run in the region.
During your stay abroad, the programme coordinators of your hosting region will assist you. This means that you might take part in visits, excursions and events to help you adapt to and appreciate the culture of the region.
Keep in mind that after your traineeship you will need to submit a report to their home and/or hosting region. If you fail to write this report you might not get your traineeship certificate.
