About-us

European Youth Portal - Information and opportunities for young people across Europe!

The European Youth Portal offers European and national information and opportunities that are of interest to young people who are living, learning and working in Europe. It provides information around eight main themes, covers 35 countries and is available in 28 languages.

Structure of the site

The information in this website is arranged by theme, such as education and training, creativity and culture, health and well-being, etc. These can be found on our homepage and on the button bar at the top of each other page.

Each topic also has a number of sub-themes, which you can find by clicking on the theme buttons.

The information is provided both at European and national level. Click on "Choose a country" to switch between different countries and the European level information. Not every article is available in each country.

On the right of most pages you will find short lists of news and events related to the country that you are viewing. You can click on the article or event to see its details, or click on the "All events" or "All news" buttons to see the full lists of events and articles.

Languages

You can choose your preferred language via the button at the top right hand side of each page. The website navigation and the European level of information are available in up to 28 languages. The information provided by country is provided in the national language(s) of the individual countries and, where relevant, also in English.

If you change the language and an item is not available in the language you have chosen, then the item either appears in English or the original language in which it was written.

The "globe" symbol beside each item shows the different languages that an item is available in. You can click on the language code to switch directly to the different language version of the item you have selected. Doing this will also change the navigation language of the website.
