EU driving licences - conditions
Driver training & driving test
To obtain a driving licence, you:
- must sign up with an approved driving school for at least 8 hours of theoretical instruction (categoty B) and 12 hours of practical training (category A).
- must pass a theory exam and a practical test organised by the Motorfahrzeugkontrolle Gewerbeweg 2, Postfach 684, 9490 Vaduz, Telnr. 00423 236 75 01.
The minimum age at which you can obtain a driving licence is:
|Category A1 (up to 125 cc)||18 years|
|Category A2 (up to 35 kW cc)||18 years|
|Category A (over 35 kW cc)||25 years|
|Category B (passenger cars)||18 years|
Fitness to drive
If you wish to renew an EU driving licence, you must undergo a medical check:
- for category A - every 2 years over the age of 70
- for category B - every 2 years over the age of 70
