Company cars – Czech Republic

Use of a company car is not regulated under Czech law.

The obligation to register after six months is generally regulated under Section 6 of Act No 56/2001, regardless of whether registration concerns a private or company car.

Motorised road vehicles and their trailers operated on roads must be entered in the register of road vehicles where the person operating them has (in the Czech Republic):

(a) permanent or long-term residence or, in the case of a national of another Member State, temporary residence for at least six months in a calendar year, or has been granted asylum;

(b) a registered office in the case of a legal person, or

(c) a spin-off company in the case of a foreign legal person.
