European Parliament elections – Finland

Foreign EU citizens need to register to vote for the first time in Finland in European Parliament elections.

They should contact the local register office to inform the authorities where they will vote in European Parliament elections.

Foreign EU citizens standing as a candidate in European Parliament elections must declare that they are not standing in any other country, and that they are not disqualified from standing. To do so, they should fill in a form.

Voting in European Parliament elections is not compulsory.
