Geographical indications – Estonia

Estonia protects geographical indications for agricultural and non-agricultural goods and services, except the geographical indications and designations of origin for agricultural products, foodstuffs and alcoholic beverages protected at European Union level.

An application for registration of a geographical indication in Estonia shall be filed with the Estonian Patent Office and the state fee should be paid. Registration takes place pursuant to the Geographical Indication Protection Act.
