Terms of employment – Norway
Simplified work schemes (more flexible) apply to employees working maximum 1 month or to employees working less than 8 hours/week.
Norway is not a member of the European Union (EU), but is associated with the EU through the EEA Agreement. The rules applicable in the EU countries will therefore not always be applicable in Norway. In some respects the Norwegian legislation is more comprehensive and in other areas less comprehensive than the EU rules and standards. Before entering this market it is important to understand the specific rules that apply in Norway.
