Short description  This working paper outlines deliberative procedures for invoking, applying and implementing foresight in the policy process. It offers also a methodology for assessing the quality of the knowledge to be used in policy against the background that such knowledg is derived from a variety of sources(, stakeholders, public debate etc) and a variety of actors. Abstract (focusing on the key recommendations)  This working paper gives an overview of the way foresight knowledge concerning scientific and technological developments is deliberated in policy. It offers also an approach to assess the quality of foresight-knowledge. The paper makes a case for deliberative procedures in the science policy interface in order to ensure an adequately balanced knowledge input
