Transatlantic cooperation on climate action-going local

Tue 9, October 2018
09:30 - 11:00 CET

This event will look at the importance of international cooperation at city and region level in achieving climate action goals. It will also look at the opportunities and challenges that addressing climate change presents for cities and regions and enable the sharing of experiences and ideas to accelerate action. The EU is responsible for only 10% of global CO2 emissions and therefore global cooperation is crucial. This also needs to happen at city and region level, as more than 70% of climate change mitigation measures and up to 90% of adaptation measures are undertaken by them.
