The aim of this session is to foster an exchange of knowledge and practices between researchers working in H2020 projects on migrants’ labour marker integration, and varied actors coming from the policy, research and not-for-profit sectors. The two opening "stories" in this session will present up-to-date data and analysis providing a snapshot of the demographic and socio-economic profile of the migrants currently seeking a job in the European labour market, and of their actual labour market outcomes. The speakers will also discuss the key barriers and enablers to migrants' integration, with a focus on those that can be activated (or defused) at the local level.
Two roundtable discussions will follow focusing on barriers and enablers of labour market inclusion, allowing for debate and knowledge-sharing between participants. The roundtable discussions will be steered by a moderator and will have a dedicated rapporteur, with the objective of distilling key practical lessons for the different levels of migrant integration governance. The participants will be invited to join the discussions and change table once during the allotted time. The aim is to promote an informal, open and effective dialogue on the topics discussed. The main conclusions and outcomes will afterwards be reported at plenary level by the roundtable rapporteurs.
