The Opening session will be an interactive kick off debate between speakers, CoR members, partners and participants expected to take part remotely, around three round tables dedicated to: Cohesion and cooperation; Empowering citizens; Green Europe.

This will be the occasion to:

  • present success stories of using structural and investments funds, highlighting the role of the new cohesion policy for the European recovery
  • open up the debate with the audience on the first Regional and Local Barometer
  • look at the media perspective on how the EU support in response to the COVID crisis has been perceived by the public opinion
