Please watch this short video summarising the Global Trends report

This workshop will provide an opportunity to explore the global impact of COVID-19 and European opportunities for recovery and transformation. Panellists will engage in a critical discussion of the biggest opportunities for transformation in our social, economic and governance systems from a regional perspective. They will look beyond the EU coronavirus response and discuss alternatives for developing the EU's strategic capacity to act more effectively at all levels.
This workshop will:
a) offer a unique platform enabling participants to become more familiar with key challenges on the horizon that are of particular interest to local and regional authorities;
b) provide insight and analysis on the impact of COVID-19 with a long-term perspective; and
c) focus on the localisation of EU responses to global trends.
