The Smart Specialisation for Sustainable Development Goals (S3 for SDGs) workshop aims to present new developments in the context of the S3, as a worldwide methodology promoting the achievement of the SDGs through the establishment and implementation of transformative, localised, place-based, innovation-driven roadmaps across the world. The aim is to show how EU and non-EU countries, regions and cities have aligned their S3s with the SDGs and how they are using the methodology to achieve the objectives of the 2030 Agenda. This is an important methodological development, contributing to the European Green Deal and helping to plan regions' sustainable post-crisis recovery. The workshop will focus on presenting cases where smart specialisation strategies have been successfully implemented, specifically their contribution to sustainable innovation.
