This workshop aims to describe the working methods of journalists, who collate, synthesise and present diverse sources of information in a way that gives their audience real insights into complex issues. They give readers a clear, comprehensible perspective that employ easy-to-use data-visualisation tools that can be customised with interactive graphics and direct access to primary sources. The analysis is carried out by geographical area and by sector and makes it possible to see the take-up of European funds compared to those available, in order to inform companies, public bodies and the public about the possibilities offered by the Structural Funds, thus enabling them to exert informed pressure on policymakers and administrations responsible for implementing the programmes.
The output of the project will be a multimedia set of contents: articles, video, podcast, newsletters, that will be shown during the workshop. This workshop is also powered by Info Data, the Sole 24 ORE Data Journalism space since 2011, the first in Italy. Lives on the positive collaboration between editorial staff, designers and data analysts, with a unique, lean and truly networking organizational model that guarantees its success
