Urbanisation leads to societal challenges, such as social deprivation, climate change, deteriorating health and increasing pressure on urban nature. Urban ecosystems can contribute to lessening these challenges by implementing nature-based solutions. The information session illustrates how Horizon2020 supported international cooperation in knowledge creation and how knowledge exchange between local authorities and researchers supports urban ecosystem regeneration in Europe, China and Latin-America.
