Poland received €5.1 billion from EIB Group in 2023 to bolster economy
The European Investment Bank (EIB) Group showed its strong commitment to financing in Poland by extending a total of almost €5.1 billion in the country in 2023, broadly in line with the previous year’s (2022) total of €5.45 billion. Support last year amounted to €4.67 billion from the EIB and €632 million from the European Investment Fund (EIF), with €255 million in overlapping projects.

GEMs publishes a new report on recovery rates for private and sub-sovereign borrowers in emerging markets
The Global Emerging Markets Risk Database (GEMs) Consortium has published today for the first time the recovery rates of investments with private and sub-sovereign borrowers in emerging markets and developing economies (EMDEs) for the period 1994-2022. The statistics are collected from the group of 19 multilateral development banks and development finance institutions that are members of the GEMs Consortium and are available online for free on the GEMs website (gemsriskdatabase.org).
