The conference will provide an overview of what has been done in the EU on the topic of athletes’ dual careers so far, as well as discuss how educational institutions can work together as one support system for athletes.
The second main theme of the conference focuses on sports and physical activeness. During the conference, we will look at what the cost of physical inactivity is to society and what can be done to raise physical activity levels with the help of universities and sport.
To pinpoint what measures need to be undertaken in this regard, a high-level round table discussion of stakeholder representatives will take place during the conference, led by the European Commission.
The event is organised as part of 2017 Estonian Presidency of the Council of the EU.
