This conference, organised under the auspices of the Estonian Presidency of the Council of the EU, will synthesise recent biodiversity and ecology data from the Baltic Sea pertaining to the main commercial fish species, including in relation to climate change and various human pressures. New and improved environmental and fish stock assessment methods and practical (e-)tools will be provided for the sustainable management of marine living resources, which assist in addressing several regional and EU legislative frameworks.

The event will contribute to developing a new information community and e-solutions in environmental and fisheries policy, and to improving cooperation with the Eastern Partnership countries.
