The Pan-African Network for economic analysis of policies (PANAP) has been established by the African Union and the EU, in the context of the Africa-Europe agenda for rural transformation.

It is a network of academic/research and institutional partners collaborating with the European Commission’s joint research centre (JRC) to develop research on agricultural economics and policy issues with a focus on Africa. PANAP should contribute to reinforce the stability and help achieve the sustainability of the agriculture and food sectors, to enhance food and nutrition security in Africa.

This launch event and first meeting of PANAP will gather research institutions and policymakers from Ethiopia, Kenya, Tanzania, Senegal, Côte d’Ivoire, Niger, South Africa, Burundi, and selected multilateral organisations in the area of agricultural development.
