The Interreg annual meeting 2017 is organised by the European Commission (DG REGIO), with the support of the Maltese presidency of the Council of the European Union. The meeting is organised in accordance with Article 51 of regulation (EU) No 1303/2013 establishing for an annual meeting to review the performance of each programme. It also aims at discussing with the managing authorities and the joint secretariats of all the Interreg programmes the most crucial topics related to their implementation.
The meeting will start in the afternoon of 26 April. The opening plenary session will discuss the state of play of implementation of the Interreg programmes and provide the opportunity to share first reflections on Interreg post-2020. The morning session of 27 April will be devoted to 4 parallel workshops and will be followed by the visit of 3 projects implemented in Malta. The closing plenary session of 28 April morning will focus on the presentation and discussion of the outcomes of the 4 workshops in the presence of a panel of key stakeholders.
