International workshop on materials resistant to extreme conditions for future energy systems

The first objective of this European Commission funded workshop is to discuss the state of the art and ongoing research and to identify research needs concerning structural materials for future energy systems that are exposed to extreme operational conditions. 

The second objective is to explore future collaboration opportunities between EU Member States and target countries (Albania, Turkey, Serbia, The former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Montenegro, Kosovo, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Switzerland, Israel, Norway, Liechtenstein, Faroe Islands, Ukraine, Iceland, Moldova, Georgia, Armenia, Tunisia), both in terms of specific R&D projects, as well as in terms of collaboration mechanisms.

This workshop will bring together scientists, engineers and managers from academia and industry representing different energy technologies to promote such integration as well as representatives from the European Commission and national government organisations.
