On 16 November 2020, the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) is organising a virtual hearing in the framework of its exploratory opinion requested by the European Parliament ‘Industrial transition towards a green and digital European economy: regulatory requirements and the role of social partners and civil society’.
The purpose of the hearing will be to contribute to the EESC opinion and to the debate on the policy priorities to promote the re-orientation of European production and reveal a series of innovative business practices.
The debate will focus on the following questions:
- What are the prospects and challenges for European industry?
- What support does EU industry need most at EU level?
- What is the key to European competitiveness and how can social partners and civil society contribute?
