The European Commission is organising several events as part of the India Smart Grid Week 2018 (ISGW). Dialogue and cooperation on smart grids is one of the priority activities of the EU-India clean energy and climate partnership, which was adopted at the 13th EU-India summit in 2016.
- On 6 March, the India smart grid workshop will bring together representatives of the Commission, the Indian government, and Indian and European industry to focus on the challenges related to the smart integration of large amounts of distributed variable renewable energy production.
- On 8 March, the EU-India clean energy and climate partnership workshop will aim at clearly defining an EU-India clean energy investment platform, which is to be launched later this year.
- On March 9, there will be a meeting between European and Indian offshore wind stakeholders and experts, aiming at developing a roadmap and concrete deployment plan towards the establishment of India’s first offshore wind park.
