Organised by the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS), with the active support of Airbus and Boeing, this first workshop on flying at high altitude under adverse weather conditions will bring together major aircraft manufacturers, airlines, approved training organisations (ATOs), the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and civil aviation authorities from Asia and the Pacific region.
Topics will include:
- differences in aircraft handling characteristics at low and high altitude
- hints on manual flying in turbulences or stressful situations
- turbulence avoidance
- how to provide weather information to pilots
- how to improve safety through increased sharing of data
