The European Tourism Forum is an annual event, co-organised with the European Commission and the country that holds the Presidency of the Council of the European Union during the second half of the year.
The forum will focus on the following topics of particular importance to the European tourism sector:
- innovation in tourism through digitalisation for the competitive growth of the sector
- transport connectivity and intermodality as critical success factors for the European tourism sector
- energy efficiency, protection of natural resources and environmentally friendly measures towards a more sustainable EU tourism
- a balance between security and seamless travel in Europe
The forum includes a number of keynote speeches, panel discussions and case studies that enable participants to exchange views with public authorities at EU, national and regional level, with European associations and international organisations, representatives of the industry and other stakeholders.
