New improvements to Europass tools

You will notice some improvements  and changes  that will make your experience with the different Europass tools even better.

What are the changes?

When you create a new profile from an existing profile or CV

You will be able to edit all the information that you imported with ease. Until now, you may have noticed some fields that have limited characters which automatically shortened the information. All the fields and information that will not fit in in the new version will be marked clearly. This will help you to notice and correct them easily.

When you create a new language version of your Europass profile

You will now have more options to ease and speed up the process:

  • start from an existing profile
  • upload an existing CV (new)
  • import the information from one of the CVs you have stored on your Europass Library (new)

If you add certificates or diplomas to evidence your language skills, you now have a preview of your attached certificates or diplomas.

You will also receive suggestions of digital skills to include in your Profile and CV, based on the most frequently skills added by other users.

When you create Europass CVs or Cover letters

They have an improved design:

  • The information is displayed in a smarter way, ensuring more consistency and avoiding large white spaces as much as possible;
  • In the second CV Template, the left grey column now adapts to the content of the page, which allows to reduce the length of the CV
  • In the third CV Template, the "Personal Information" section is now more compact and takes less space
  • When creating a CV starting from your Profile, all of your information is selected by default. You can then easily select or deselect the information to include in your CV
  • You can include your profile picture when publishing your CV from Europass on EURES
  • When creating a  Cover Letter, you can write up to 10000 characters in the letter body

If you have already completed the digital skills test

  • You can add the test results to your CV
  • You can also include the results when sharing your Profile with others

On the Application manager

  • Once you add your European Digital Credential  for learning (EDC) to your application, you will have it added to the PDF version of your application.
  • You can now upload a Europass Digital Credential for learning (EDC) from your device into your application
  • When completing the "application details" step of your application, you can now add files and links useful for you (e.g. Link to the opportunity or the organisations website). Those files and links can only be viewed by you
  • You are informed when removing a document from your Library which is used in your profile or applications
  • When preparing you application, you can now also include your digital skills test results

When you share your Europass profile

  • You can now share your profile with the media attachments of your choice included (e.g. files attached to one of you work experience). The receiver will also be able to view those attachments
  •  You can now  specify for a shared file with whom your will share it and why. Like this, it will be easier to manage your shared links in the Activity Feed

Other changes

  • If you don't log in or register after creating your profile as guest, the information that you provided will be deleted when you close the browser
  • You can now unpublish all your shared links at once, from the "Settings" page
