David Galloway

Deputy Director-General for Digital Services at the Council of the EU

David Galloway was born in Scotland in 1961 and joined the General Secretariat of the Council in 1986. In April 2010 he was appointed deputy director-general for security, safety and IT. He was previously director of the Private Office of the Council’s Secretary-General, Pierre de Boissieu. David was EU Fellow at the LBJ School of Public Affairs at the University of Texas in Austin in 1995-1996, and from 1997 to 2002 was a visiting lecturer at the University of Auvergne, Clermond-Ferrand. He has published numerous books and articles on EU policies and history, the European Council and the Treaty of Nice.
