Reinforcing cooperation on cultural heritage is one of the three main strands under the second pillar of the EU's strategic approach to international cultural relations, focused on advancing cultural cooperation with partner countries.
As the global cultural landscape has changed rapidly over the last few decades, demand for inter-cultural cooperation and dialogue has increased. Culture, including cultural heritage and creative industries, is an important sector promoted as part of the EU's consensus on development cooperation and the UN's 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
In order to take forward the concrete proposals of these policy developments, the Forum provides a unique opportunity to exchange knowledge, expertise and the latest cultural heritage approaches and strategies among internationally renowned high-level speakers and experts.
Three panel sessions will address the protection of cultural heritage at risk, engagement and participatory governance and innovation in cultural heritage.
When: Monday 23rd April 2018, from 9:45 to 17:30.
Where: Palais des Académies, Rue Ducale 1, Brussels.
The registration form is available on the official website until 15 April 2018.
