For the first time, the European Year of Cultural Heritage will be present at the opening of the European Week of Sport, which will be held alongside Austria’s Day of Sport in Vienna’s Prater Park on 22 September.
Sports and games enhance intercultural dialogue and peace, reinforce youth empowerment and promote ethical sport practices. Many traditional sports and games are included on the UNESCO intangible cultural heritage list and safeguarding them is a key challenge.
This week is for everyone, regardless of age, background or fitness level. So now it’s your turn!
