The Creative Europe Desk Culture – Luxembourg and the European Institute of Cultural Routes are organising conferences on sustainable networking and financing cultural heritage in Europe, taking place on 3 December 14:00-18:00 and 4 December 09:00-13:00 at the Abbaye de Neumünster.
To mark the end of the European Year of Cultural Heritage (EYCH) the event will address the question of sustainable support for cultural heritage in Europe. The Creative Europe programme has been funding numerous cultural heritage projects and networks. For instance, in 2017, Creative Europe selected 81 cooperation projects and 13 out of them were in the fields of cultural heritage.
The Creative Europe Desk Culture – Luxembourg and the European Institute of Cultural Routes, together with representatives of the European Commission, the Council of Europe and Europa Nostra try to highlight the potential European networking and funding as well as the legacy of the European Year of Cultural Heritage by exploring 3 major topics throughout the panels:
- Sustainable investment: funding cultural heritage in Europe’s regions
- Anticipating needs and issues: towards a sustainable management of cultural heritage projects
- How to combine efforts for sustainable support: fostering European synergies
The conference will be in English and French with simultaneous interpretation. Furthermore, the Secretary General of Europa Nostra, Sneska Quaedvlieg Mihailovic will be speaking at this event.
