Möt ambassadörerna

As a Climate Pact Ambassador, I will work everyday to advance the goal of a sustainable future. My work will focus on increasing public education regarding the climate transition through analysis, outreach and engagement. Through my organization (Global Challenge) I will continuously advocate for the inclusion of the broad public on these matters, in order to ensure a just climate transition. My aim is to continue to bridge the gap between research and action.

The independent comparisons of insurance and pension products made by the Swedish Consumer Insurance Bureau are truly unique. 

There are 3 million visits annually to the Bureau´s website. 

In 2021 we will publish comparisons of the activities of insurance companies from a sustainability perspective. 

We are convinced the resulting consumer awareness will accelerate the development of sustainable products by the Swedish insurance industry and consumers´ choice of sustainable insurance products.

WWF’s mission is to stop the degradation of the planet’s natural environment and to build a future in which humans live in harmony with nature. WWF Sweden contributes towards this goal by advocating at the global, EU and national level for ambitious climate and environmental policies that are based on science. This includes reaching out to people, businesses, organizations and policymakers through dialogue, events, and various channels to raise awareness and inspire ambitious climate action.

Experienced in sustainable fashion, green textile industries and networks, as well as my background in research regarding green economics and politics informs my goals as an ambassador. 

I aim to educate and promote networks, projects, and initiatives that focus on green and sustainable alternatives within various sectors. 

Moreover, as a Swedish and American citizen, my mixed background provides other beneficial perspectives and options for developing actions to tackle environmental threats.

My motivation stems from my two young children. When I see them playing together, free from worries and full of innocence, I realise that I need to do more to give them a future. There are two things that needs to drastically change in order to induce the necessary transformation.
- Political courage to treat the crisis as a crisis. To do what is necessary, and to stand up for it, even when it is unpopular.
- A change in focus from what each individual can do, to what can be done together.

As vice mayor for climate and environment, turning Stockholm climate positive by 2040 is one of my key priorities. To make it happen we’re accelerating green investments in all sectors of public life. But more is needed. Achieving the goals of the Paris agreement is a societal effort. As ambassador, I will use my position in networks like the Stockholm Climate Pact, Eurocities and C40 to connect relevant actors, share solutions and highlight the multiple benefits of ambitious climate action.

With a background in sustainable fashion and a love of clean water initiatives, I intend to educate and inform on these topics. 

With dual citizenship in the United States and Sweden, I use my unique multifaceted experiences to share information on a large scale. 

These dual perspectives paired with a strong background in social media and content creation allows for a wider audience to be reached around the globe to raise awareness on sustainable alternatives to current practices. 

A demand driven collaboration hub for smart, efficient and integrated heating & cooling solutions supporting cities in their energy transition to carbon-neutral systems. Focusing on cities’ needs, with hands-on support through the forerunner groups, based on peer to peer support, it connects its members to exchange on and influence climate and environmental policies, foster innovation leading to solutions that accelerate sustainable development in Europe and across the world.

Ingmar Rentzhog is the founder & CEO of We Don’t Have Time, the world's largest review platform for the climate with the mission to empower everyday individuals and to push those in power to do more. For the climate pact, Ingmar will work to raise awareness about climate change and the many already existing solutions, as well as the importance of communication for climate action. His pledge is to give at least one presentation each month about climate action to decision-makers.

Through the government initiative Fossil Free Sweden, I will support industry initiatives that combine net-zero emission plans with increased competitiveness – but we will also challenge industries with solutions that disrupt business-as-usual. To spread these solutions and industry leader’s new mindset, we will arrange high-level meetings to exchange experiences and climate strategies. By showing industry actors and society that solutions exist, we wish to spread hope and motivation.
