We need action. From people, businesses, governments and any organization. To drive actions, one powerful tool is awareness.

One of the biggest challenges to build awareness around sustainability is that overall it is a very complex and interconnected problem, so many people fell overwhelmed by it. The goal of my project "One Action a Day" is to break it down in smaller pieces. Every single action has been chosen to increase awareness on a specific topic and presented in an inspiring way.

As Executive Director of the leading European railway association in Brussels, I will advocate rail as the backbone of zero-carbon mobility in Europe. In order to achieve an absolute greenhouse gas emission reduction target of 30% by 2030 compared to 1990 levels, and at the same time realise expected modal shift to rail, we will contribute to a wider debate on climate action. Railways took the opportunity provided by the European Year of Rail in 2021 to act as a Clean Mobility Ambassador.

I am actually studying at the Politecnico di Torino Management Engineering. During all my studies I have been focusing on sustainable solutions. Recently my main interest is about waste management, as my thesis topic. My aim is to face complex problems like water and air quality in cities and consciousness production and consumption with a multidisciplinary approach.

I work and travel globally with my company (Lightsource bp) and I take part in social resposability activities like trainings in schools, planting trees, interventions on field for local workers .

Apart from this, in my role as an Ambassador I will focus on spreading sustainability knowledge on social media, I will create a dedicate profile in Twitter and I will follow up news and updates, especially about renewables energies, focusing on the sustainability impact.

I am a founding member of Talento para el Futuro, leading the Sustainability, Innovation and Technology efforts of the organization.

I also work as a Impact Strategist at Paradigma Digital, dedicated to create impact strategies based on technology and innovation with the aim of solving the great social and environmental challenges that we face.

I strive for a future where prosperity means something more that economic benefitcs, but sustainable growth of our society within planetary boundaries.

As a Climate Ambassador I want to make people realise that even though climate change and environmental issues are not immediately visible, the long term catastrophic consequences are to be faced by the whole Planet if we don't start acting NOW.

To do that, eco-community “Hives project” organises training courses, youth exchanges and workshops to educate local and international communities on sustainable living and environmental protection, by also highlighting those topics on social media.

I strongly believe that individual actions can make the difference to fight climate and ecological crisis. 

As ambassador, I would like to raise awareness of the current crisis among adults and young people. 

I'd like to interact with students, share scientific information, talk about climate change at different levels: technology, economics, politcs and share my engagement through social media. 

I'll try to do my best to be the change, to make the difference and to inspire people to do the same.

As an European Climate Pact Ambassador I am committed to raise awareness about the polar ice crises and to achieve a consciousness in action that we are one humanity, dependent on the Global Commons, the interdependent natural systems crucial to all life.

I am passionate about the protection of the environment, biodiversity conservation and food sustainability in order to leaving the Earth a better place for us and for the future generations.

I am committed to empower new generations of children and teenagers across Europe to address the issue of climate change and use their creativity and intuition to interpret the issue and develop possible solutions.

With the Leonardo 4 Children initiative, children and teenagers are invited to invent respectively a fable and a project integrating art & science in teamwork, as we believe that STEAM skills and the enthousiasm of young people is key to protect our Planet.

My goal is to encourage people and small to medium businesses to consider the environmental and social impacts of their actions.

Once we collaborate, we could accomplish a more sustainable and brighter future for ourselves, and future generations.

I am doing my part as a sustainability expert with experience in various industry fields and a degree in environmental and ressource management as well as a trained psychological sustainability coach.

My work will focus on advocating the vulnerable people, groups and communities about climate change in the context of Human Rights. Encourage, support and inspire active participation, collaboration and synergies for joint initiatives and actions. Promoting social dialogue and engaging civil society. Disseminate knowledge, information and good practices so that any efforts on fighting climate change can be perceived as commonplace and become an everyday-life attitude.

I plan to fulfill the Ambassador's mission by tapping into a network of civic leaders engaged in academia, business, and public life. The message is that Climate Change needs to be at the heart of initiatives if we are to preserve the world as we know it today. Each part of society needs to play a role. The central mission is one of education to raise awareness. Mobilising the community of leaders then leads to a growing number of engaged and passionate followers.

My main motivation to fight climate change stems from my love for our planet and all the lifeforms I share it with. I have been engaging with climate activism and environmental education since I was in school, and obtaining a law degree with a focus on the intersections between law and sustainability has truly broadened my knowledge on the matter. I am looking forward to further explore the goals I can achieve via the role of European Climate Pact Ambassador.

Raising awareness on the importance of sustainable food systems. Strengthening the Mediterranean by connecting relevant stakeholders and parties, in order to create synergies.

My plan is to reach out to local and national networks, expand my current contacts in the Mediterranean region and deliver awareness and motivation speeches and training, organize events and conferences, publish articles in relevant magazines and online portals. As I am already active in such tasks, I will have the chance to further promote the Climate Pact goals. As my University is also part of a European University, this will also be exploited.

As an Ambassador, I will continue to make my contribution in the areas in which I work as a freelance researcher, organizer and co-author of advertising, to raise awareness among public and private operators, public opinion and individual citizens on the effects of climate change. I am particularly paying attention to the current trends and those expected for the future on the development of synergies for the sustainability of the WEF nexus (Water, Energy, Food).

I'm Ali from Libya, and climate, environment and water issues in the Mediterranean region are among the things that I am most passionate about.

I have been an ambassador in cultural organizations in recent years and shared several ideas, articles, and analysis of the environment regionally, focused directly on awareness, media and advocacy to communicate with people.

Through this opportunity, I would like to interact with many organizations and expand  the horizons of future cooperations.

Alicia Carrasco has been promoting a consumer centric energy transition since 2010 when she founded Smart EN. She has worked in the areas of new energy business models as Regulatory Affairs Director for Digital Grid at Siemens, European Government Director Affairs at Tesla and today as CEO of energy transition strategic consulting firm olivoENERGY and Executive Director and founder of entra Agregación y Flexibility. She identifies opportunities out of climate change and electrification actions.
