The Global Climate Change Alliance (GCCA) Intra-ACP Programme's First Regional Technical Meeting, 16 - 17 July, and Second Programme Steering Committee Meeting, 18 - 19 July 2013, in Belize City

The Africa Caribbean Pacific (ACP) Secretariat is pleased to announce that the GCCA Intra-ACP Programme will hold its First Regional Technical Meeting and Second Programme Steering Committee Meeting on 16 - 17 July and 18 - 19 July 2013 respectively, in Belize City.

The objective of the First Regional Technical Meeting is to raise interest in the Intra-ACP Programme; establish thematic working groups within the GCCA Intra-ACP Programme; enhance networking and communication; improve coordination; facilitate exchange of information and expertise; and identify synergies between the regional components and with the GCCA Intra-ACP Programme.

In addition to fostering networking, communication and exchange of information and expertise, among others, the Regional Technical Meeting is expected to support the implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the GCCA Intra-ACP Programme.

Participants include representatives from the ACP Secretariat, European Commission, European Union Delegations and organisations in charge of implementing the ACP regional components: the African Climate Policy Centre (ACPC), Permanent Inter-State Committee for Drought Control in the Sahel (CILSS), Caribbean Community Climate Change Centre (CCCCC), Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA), Pacific Islands Forum Secretariat (PIFS), and University of the South Pacific (USP).
