CLIMATE CHANGE DIVISION GEOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION SYSTEM (GIS) DEVELOPMENT

The Climate Change Department through the support of Solomon Islands Climate Assistance Programme, SICAP has taken the first step to develop a national climate change vulnerability assessment through a Geographical Information System, GIS, to enhance strategic planning in response to climate change challenges.

The specific objective of this GIS assignment is to support the ministry in particular the Climate Change Division , CCD, to develop a methodology for a national climate change vulnerability assessment by costing out climate change strategies by need.
