
Robert Hakiza
Robert HAKIZA is a Congolese Agricultural Engineer from the Université Catholique de Bukavu (UCB) where he obtained a degree in Plants studies in 2007. After the University, he did internship with many organizations in DRC as an assistant researcher at ADRA in Goma, North Kivu and as a Field officer Assistant with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations in Goma and Kisangani. He is Co- founder and Director of the Young African Refugees for Integral Development (YARID) a led refugee grassroots Organization based in Kampala Uganda where he stays since 2008. He has a big experience in working with refugees in urban area. Last year in 2013 he worked as an Assistant Researcher in Uganda with The Humanitarian Innovation Project (HIP) of the University of Oxford. In July 2014 he was invited to present about the research he did with HIP in his own community “Refugee Economies” at the Humanitarian Innovation Conference, hosted by the Humanitarian Innovation Project, Department of the International studies, Oxford University in Oxford, England from 19-29th July 2014. Mr. Robert likes interacting with people, music and traveling.
