I have conducted a number of human rights and legal consultancies with international and local bodies and diplomatic missions; and have an extensive experience in democracy and human rights education. I am also a contributor to the 2012 “World Bank’s” report: The Women, Business and The Law (WBL); and to the “Post-Crisis World Foundation”-Russia report: “Vision 2050: A New Political and Economic Map of the World” - 2012
My work experience includes working at present was Gender and Diversity Officer with the International Federation for Red Cross and Red Crescent Socieities for the MENA Zone. I have also worked as Protection Associate with UNHCR-Beirut Office, and previously as Project Officer with Oxfam-GB IN Beirut. I am also a visiting lecturer at the Faculty of Political Sciences at the Messina University-Italy, and have lectured on human rights at the American University of Technology (AUT) –Lebanon.
I have published several political and academic articles in addition to a publication on humanitarian law and civilians’ rights in internal conflicts.
I am a legal research affiliate at the Lebanese Emigration Research Center (LERC) at Notre-Dame University (NDU). I am also a US State Department Alumni and a John Smith Memorial Trust Fellow.
I hold an M.A. in Human Rights and Democratization from the University of Malta and the Wallenberg Institute/Lund University- Sweden and a B.A in Lebanese law from the Lebanese University.
