An accomplished health and project management professional with more than 11 years professional experience managing and implementing programmes in conflict-affected, crisis, and transition environments. An expert in Programme development and implementations as relates to health, nutrition, food security and livelihoods initiatives for non-governmental organizations and international agencies in Africa. Worked on both short and medium term assignments; Key contributor to program designs and donor proposal. Seasoned trainer in workshops/seminars as pertains to health and nutrition programming. Key responsibilities include:
•Providing strategic direction of nutrition programming and oversee the Overall implementation of nutrition interventions in Sudan for Relief International. This involved analyzing the humanitarian needs context and informing on the best type of nutrition intervention. Overseeing the current CMAM projects in North Darfur
• Participation in Developing donor proposals and managing the grants ( ECHO, OFDA, CHF, UNICEF and WFP)
• Coordinating with Health, WASH, and Nutrition clusters, UN-OCHA, UN-Agencies, Government and other relevant partners at the field level
• Ensuring integrated, high quality program delivery and a safe and effective presence of Relief International in North Darfur, oversight and ultimate responsibility for the timely delivery of projects, currently across all sectors: Health, WASH, Nutrition, and FSL; as well as maintains effective relationships with all other key players in the area (NGO, UN, and governmental) to ensure effective coordination of activities and ability to implement
• The efficient and effective operation of support services – Logistics, Security, Finance and Human Resources/administration.
• In coordination with the, Country Director, and other senior staff, he has overall responsibility for safety of staff and security of staff and operations in the field site.
• Responsibility for team leadership, human resources management, oversight of all programs, and management of RI facilities and assets in the field.
