Gender Justice Advisor
Working at ILC since 2013, I have been in charge of activities related to human rights protection (in particular Land and Environmental Rights Defenders) and women's land rights. Since 2018 I focus on promoting gender justice across all ILC actions. Since 2016 I am Brussels based.
I am an expert of water issues, commons, human rights, social, environmental and gender justice.
I also teach at SciencesPo Paris ( "Water, a contemporary issue" and "Gender and Development" ) and at BSIS-University of Kent (" Gender in Conflicts, Development and Migration).
I hold a PhD in Social Sciences from the Istituto Italiano di Scienze Umane, an LLM in HUman Rights Law from the University of Kent, an MA in Anthropology of the Ancient World from the University of Siena, and a BA in Classics from the University of Palermo. I have also conducted research and study periods at INALCO and EHESS (Paris), Columbia University (New York) and Berkeley University.
