She graduated in 1988 from the Cinema Institute in Brussels-INSAS- in Film & TV Editing & Continuity with distinction. 1. Nationality: French & Lebanese 2. Civil Status: Single 3. She worked from 1988 till 1994 between Brussels and Paris as a continuity girl and Film editor on Feature Films, Documentaries and advertising. In 1994, she directed and produced her first Medium Documentary “Between us two…Beirut”, followed by “ the silk road” in Anatolia and “The barefoot diva” in Africa-Cabo Verde with the famous singer Cesaria Evora. She moved to Paris in 1995 where she continued directing and producing, than left to Sri Lanka where she worked as a Producer-Director for Young Asia TV, where she was as well an instructor for young journalist. She directed the documentary “The mask of the night” And supervised youth training and street children. In 1998 she returned to Beirut where she established Crystal Films, a Film & TV production and Distribution company. “Khalass” a feature film by Borhane Alaouie was her first big production with France & Belgium. Crystal Films was the pioneer of the first Europa Cinema Theatre in the MEA, the “Salle SIX” and has distributed more than 25 Euro-Mediterranean films in the region. In 2005, she Co-produced her documentary & Directed“Maid for sale” with Belgium & France, that has received several International awards. .Best audience award at vesoul Int Asian festival- 1st prize at Cawtar & IPPF Festival- & MDG United Nations Award-Tunis-Best Documentary & Critics Award at Khouribga Int.Festival-Morocco. She produced more than 8 documentaries n the MEA and for AL-Jazeera Doc channel. Qualifications and skills: • 25 years of extensive experience in the Audiovisual management sector covering the Middle East, Maghreb, Europe & Asia. • Strong knowledge of audiovisual and cinematographic networks and dynamics of the Mediterranean region. • Excellent communication skills with different cultures and proven negotiations skills with public authorities. • Capacities of identifying, analyzing and solving real problems of the audiovisual sector. • Instructor & producer with high journalistic competence. • Senior Audiovisual Expert for the European Union, for the Evaluation of Euromed II programme- of a budget of 15 M.Euros in the Meda countries. • Jury member of the “Francophone Int. Organization” for the southern films Funding. • Director-Manager of Crystal Films (Films & TV Production-Distribution-Years within the firm:17 years) • 10 years of intensive experience in the field of journalism between Asia and MEA ( ref: Rai Int, ZDF, TF1, Ya TV etc) • Since 2006: Vice-President of "APIMED" (Association of Mediterranean Independent producers).Established Medimed TV market for Arabic and Mediterranean documentaries in Spain. - Since 1999, Intensive experience in production and post-production at senior level gained in a broadcast media and production company.
