High-level Event on the Preparations for the Third United Nations Environment Assembly in Nairobi on 4-6 December 2017
The UN Environment Assembly, which is the world's highest-level decision-making body on the environment, will gather hundreds of environment ministers and stakeholders in Nairobi, Kenya, from 4-6 December 2017 under the theme "Towards a Pollution-Free Planet".
On 12 October, Erik Solheim, Head of UN Environment (UNEP), is joined by high level speakers from the European Commission, the European Parliament, The Estonian EU Presidency and the private sector, to debate what is at stake at the Assembly and how the EU can deliver concrete commitments and contribute to a successful outcome.
The event will take place on 12 October 2017 in Brussels at the European Parliament, Room 6 Q 1, from 17:30 to 19:00, and will be followed by a reception.
