“The new edition of the Professional Standards for Protection Work takes into account changes in the environment for protection work and proposes standards and guidelines for addressing the fresh challenges that have arisen. In armed conflict and other situations of violence, these standards can be considered to subsume existing sets of standards developed by humanitarian and human rights organizations in connection with their working procedures or with certain specific issues”
