Valentin ALVAREZ

Over 13 years of professional experience, mainly working on development cooperation projects funded by multilateral organizations, especially the European Commission. Additional experience working with international financial institutions. Graduated as a BA in Economics, with a postgraduate and a Master in Public Finance Management at the University of London - SOAS (School of Oriental and African Studies). Over 10 years of experience as an expert in monitoring and evaluation (M & E) with experience in more than 25 countries mostly in Latin America and the ACP countries (Africa Caribbean and Pacific). Very balanced experience between the management and implementation of projects, through different positions like Director of the Implementation Unit at IBF, the work as Manager of the Monitoring contract for ACP countries, the current position as Evaluation Officer at the European Commission and the real experience on the ground as expert in M & E.
