
Tom D'Haeyer
Eng. Tom D’Haeyer has a degree in Rural Engineering and Tropical Agriculture and conducted additional studies in intercultural communication and management. He has extensive experience as technical and institutions advisor and in coordination of water and sanitation projects, irrigation projects and water management projects in Africa and the Caribbean. He is skilled in managing multi-stakeholder processes in water management involving NGOs, private institutions, national and local governments. He has been the coordinator of the IWRM Lake George Program in Western Uganda which has received a water and sanitation award for championing IWRM in Uganda (2008). He has been involved in international projects such as the 7FP projects WETwin on innovative wetland management tools and strategies and Twin2Go on adaptive water governance. He is coordinator of the project AfroMaison - Africa at meso-scale: Adaptive and integrated tools and strategies on natural resources management.
